Charlie’s adventures in Florida

Doing an interview with Charlie was like herding cats.  Between running off to chase a football, teasing his brother, Max, and demanding crisps, Charlie managed to sit still long enough to answer a few questions about his holiday in Florida.

Florida Baby: Did you like the plane Charlie?

Charlie: It was really, really big.  And when it started going along it was really exciting cos it actually went into the air.  Like right up into the air!  I watched some cartoons and there was ice cream.

Florida Baby: What was your hotel like?

Charlie: There was a swimming pool and there was a big bedroom with Mummy and Daddy and Max and I slept in a big bed and he kept laughing cos I was tickling him.

Florida Baby: Where did you go in Orlando?

Charlie: We went to Disney World.  We went to the Magic Kingdom and we went to Animal Kingdom. And then on another day we went to a place called Epcot where there was water coming out of the ground, and then we had breakfast with Mickey Mouse! On another day we went to Seaworld and Busch Gardens and then … oh, yeah, then we had to go shopping cos Mum wanted some clothes and I got a really cool T-shirt.

Florida Baby: What was your favourite ride at Walt Disney World?

Charlie: Buzz Lightyear.  It was all dark and you had to shoot at stuff and I went with Dad.  And I beat him cos he only got about 40,000 points and I got 80,000.

Florida Baby: What was the best animal you saw at Busch Gardens?

Charlie: The gorilla.  He came right up to the window and he banged on it and Mum got really scared and Max screamed!  But he was OK after that cos I made him laugh.

Florida Baby: Did you bring back any presents from Florida?

Charlie: I got a Buzz Lightyear T-shirt and a hat with Mickey Mouse ears on it.  I got a wand with the Little Mermaid on it for my best friend, Millie.  She really liked it cos it flashes.  I don’t like it though.  I like my Lightsaber better.

Florida Baby: Would you like to go back to Florida again sometime?

Charlie: I am going next week.  Is it next week Mum?  Oh, next year.  We’re going next year.

Florida Baby: Thanks for talking to us Charlie.

Charlie: That’s OK.  Do you want a crisp?
